DAVE & MARI'S WEDDING

On Easter Monday, 21st April 2003, we both made the trip over to South Wales to attend the wedding of Mari and Dave.

Mari is one of Kirsty's best friends from her days at Manchester University where they were housemates together for a number of years.

The wedding took place at St Teilo's Church in Llanteilo, with the reception taking place afterwards at the Cawdor Arms Hotel, just up the road.

Despite the weather being awful in the morning, it luckily held out and even brightened up for the wedding and subsequent photographs. It was a cool wedding with the service held in a mixture of English and Welsh (we even attempted to sing a Welsh hymn ... attempted being the correct word!!)

The wedding was the first time since Kirsty left Manchester that she had got the chance to meet up with all her University housemates at the same time. It was also the first time that I'd got to meet some of them as well!

We both stayed at a lovely guest house a couple of miles down the road from Llanteilo. It was called Brynteilo Guest House and it had only recently been refurbished and opened to the public. The owners were very welcoming and the cooked breakfasts were excellent (and very welcome after consuming a number of alcoholic beverages the previous evening!!)
