Jack (full name Jack Georges Atkinson) is Rich's nephew who was born on 17th October 2001 at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, Cheshire.
Because he wasn't in too much of a hurry to arrive, he decided not to show his face until two weeks after he was supposed to, but when he did finally get here, more than made up for it!!
Ever since his late arrival, Jack has been pretty big for his age, though is one of the most mild-mannered babies we've ever come across. He very rarely kicks up any fuss and is usually pretty content with his lot (though I'm sure his mum and dad have one or two exceptions to talk about!!). The best bit though is that he always has a smile for us both, when we go up to visit!!
Jack's Christening was held at the Holy Spirit Church (in Marple, Stockport), on 4th March 2002. It was a lovely Service and loads of friends and family turned up to see Jack enjoying his special day, looking especially cute in his posh outfit (not forgetting his "biker-style" peaked cap, of course!!) Especially proud were his mum, dad and Godparents - Rich (me!), Shel, Paul and Serena. Afterwards, there was a reception held at Philips Sports & Social Club, where there was plenty of cheap beer to enjoy and karaoke (groan!!).
Jack lives quite happily in Heaviley, Stockport, with his mum and dad (Claire and Paul), and his Grandad. He is especially pleased to have recently moved into his new bedroom, which has just finished being decorated by his dad in his favourite Winnie-the-Pooh style!!
